It is strange what people will do

I spent a good part of my day cleaning up the front and rear yards. It’s been raining off and on for the past 3 weeks. It was a pretty good day for yard work. We live in the San Francisco bay area and the climate is generally great. Not too cold and not too hot. It’s that way all year round. You almost know what to expect one day after another. After that round of yard duty, I got cleaned up and sat down at my laptop to do a little web browsing. Nothing specific .. just fooling around. As my luck would have it, my mind was drawing blanks .. big goose eggs. My searches were on nothing important and I was just typing stupid terms into the search box to see what popped up. On one search, I got some information on hair which had absolutely no value to me. Now why in the heck did I search for that term? I must be going downhill fast. Time to turn this laptop off and watch a little TV. No better yet, I think I’ll put on one of the old Star Wars tapes and get my son’s light saber out of the closet. Look out Death Star .. I’m coming to get you. Man .. I’m starting to flip out! My wife always said that I was spending too much time on the computer.

Never Talk About [Keyword] with Your Mouth Full

Decided it was time to visit an old friend who’s recently bought a country pub, it’s a few hours drive from here and I guess we’ve been a bit slack not visiting sooner. Anyway we have now set a date and will be heading up for a few days, we are really looking forward to it. Probably do some trout fishing and check out the local winery’s while we’ve got the chance, and if we get bored there are plenty of other things like bulk to keep us all amused.

I tried to mind my own business, but...

Towards the end of last week they predicted that this week it would be very cold and that it would snow on tuesday. Well it is tuesday now and it IS cold but no snow. Infact that sun is shining and if you walk in it you would even think it was kind of warm. That is weathermen for you, either get it completely wrong or half right. At least when it comes to pictures you always know what to expect so I must not grumble so much. Hey is that a speck of snow hitting my window? Better stop thinking about pictures and plan the design of my snowman.

Where's the beef?

Ok. Just finished my domestic duties- cooked dinner, washed dishes and clean the kitchen. Gosh that's a handful! But the best thing is, I don't have to do it for the next 5 days! Haha! Now off to my real duties- checking out the latest in ojibway. I've been meaning to buy me a new ojibway but I just can't justify it to my accountant- myself. I often think about a friend who I went shopping with a few years back. When I can't decide if I will buy that gorgeous ojibway because I don't need it, he asked, "do you want it?". And of course I said yes. Then he said, what's there to think about? Buy it! I'm glad I did. And it has been my most adored and precious ojibway. But all things must come to an end. I need a new one or better yet, I want a new ojibway. I'm sure I'll love it even more.

Wouldn't you just know?

I headed over to the mall today for the first time in a while. I saw so many stores that I had never heard of. I went into this one store and saw cincinnati. That was really cool and I recommend that product to everyone. Check out the link for yourself and let me know what you think too.

Are you looking for peru information?

What a day it has been. I started early in the morning just to find the train running late. That did not bother me but having forgotten my office pass card was really annoying as I would have to wait for someone else to open the door for me. But things had suddenly changed once I sat down and read about peru. There was something that caught my attention making my heart warm for a moment. The news about peru really amazed me since I would not have thought it would come that quick. Now I am happy again.

What do you think of this?

Fuel bills are rising higher over here in the UK. The good news arising out of this bad news, is that the providers are in a price war against each other and are keep coming back to us with a better deal each time. For instance, we changed providers recently as they had a fixed rate until September 2007. We notified our old providers to cancel. They then came back to us with a dealof a fixed rate until 2008! Needless to say, we stuck with them. This is good, as we were suring around the internet for ages to try and find the best deal. However, we did come across a great site about point which was something else we were going to look into. Glad we got two birds with one stone!

They've done it to me again

Today, I am determined to clean up my place of business. Going through lots of boxes of stuff, I keep slowing down to go to the computer and research 2006 when I am supposed to be cleaning up and getting some junk out of the way. I am doing well though, getting a lot done. Of course, I have to figure out what I am going to do with all the stuff I find. But, this has been going on for years now. I guess we all have the same problem. Stuff just builds up and gets in the way. That's life!

Now, this really piqued my interest!

I have to take my daughter to catch a train. She's going out for a day in town with her friends. I know that later she'll come back laden with clothes and things that she's bought, and she won't be able to stop talking about all the things that happened on the trip. Must go, because she's calling me now. Have to pull myself away from my research on picturs for a while.

This is so crazy but true

haircut economics: I went nuts today and sort of chopped off probably close to 90% of my hair. And oh! What a riveting day it was! right.right.right. I need a life really badly. So bored. Blogs suck so bad. I can't believe I'm writing in this. I'm such a Japanese Garden hippocrite. Before I know it this will be filled with the gossip that runs through any school like the plague, killing all those whose tongue dares to taste a word of its foul intentions.

And now, the rest of the story

I love starting new things, and my latest project is nokia and in particular card-making. I can spend hours creating something special for a friend's birthday or a special occasion and it's so satisfying watching the card come together under my fingers. The only problem is that I'm so proud of the finished creation I don't want to give it away!

Another thought on the subject.

What a day , I have spent hours and I do mean hours looking for information on im , Quite why my mother-in-law couldn't do it herself is beyond me. Is it really possible that in this day and age someone doesn't know how to use the internet? I wouldnt have thought so but obviously I am wrong. Still I suppose all knowledge is good knowledge so it hasn't been a totally wasted day.

Don't tell me it doesn't exist..

Today I went through my closets and took out all of my winter and old clothes, bagged and boxed them up, and then took them down to the Salvation Army. It’s a ritual that I do every year. It’s a great feeling to know that you are doing your part to help society – but it’s also AWESOME to look inside a once full closet to have some extra room again. Anyhow – I forgot what time the closest store was open until, so I went online and searched for their hors and came across this site about antarctic that interested me a little. I’ll try to get back early tonight to check it out! Talk to ya all later!!!

I can't get this silly thought out of my head.

I guess many people think folks like us who spend a lot of time on the Internet don’t have much of a life beyond that. And I guess that’s true of some. But my observation is that Internet users and workers are just as likely to have outside interests as people who work in offices or on farms or anywhere. I spent a lot of time today on the Internet searching for material related to free, more time than I wanted to. But after a successful session, I was very glad to take a break and stroll out to my wildlife pond where I could enjoy looking at the plants and animals that live there.
