Some more than others

Wow, what a game! My girl's basketball team played their hometown rivals this weekend. And to make it even more interesting, the game was to determine who moved on the league championship game. The game didn't start well as the girls were SO nervous. We were losing at halftime 6-9. But the girls finally relaxed in the third quarter and made a come-back. The teams were tied at the end of regulation so we went to the first overtime. Then, a second overtime. And a third overtime. And finally, a fourth overtime! Our team pulled it out in the end and now, we're playing for the championship. I was so drained at the end of the day that all I wanted to do was "veg out" and do some more research on a topic, forex , I'm considering for a new website. Wish us luck for next weekend!

Another view into my life

So everyone is thinking that the economy is in good shape and has weathered the latest rise in oil prices. I think "we ain't seen nothing yet!" The reason is that everyone is focused on the price of gasoline. Fact is, plastics are made from oil, trucks deliver almost everything the economy uses and creates. Did anyone see the price of diesel fuel? Time was that the price of truck fuel was quite a bit lower than unleaded gas. Not anymore! I've needed a new roof on my house. In the last 6 months, the materials, which are all oil based products, has gone up by almost a third. The really bad news with this is that the supply house said the manufacturers have already put them on notice to expect ANOTHER 25% increase prices by summer. I'm thinking I should replace my roof now. I still need to get land yet too.

Business Opportunities Sunless Tan at Tan

It's been a busy week, as I've been getting over a cold and haven't felt like doing much in the evenings. I've had to pack everything into the short breaks I get between classes and it's amazing how quickly an hour can pass! Luckily I have internet access at college, so I can get my shopping done online and that's a major time-saver. Yesterday I found a great source of tanning after just a few minutes searching. It really brought home to me how much difference the internet has made to my life. Just a few years ago it would never have occurred to me to look for much online, now I do it automatically!

Do you have the patience? I sure don't

Just like most everybody else, I just sat through watching more than 3 hours of the Academy Awards. Whew! I'm exhaused. Not too many surprises, beautiful dresses, even the host turned out to be an ok guy. Even though I wanted the host to be Billy Crystal, I really like Billy Crystal. Somethings in life, like exhaust, you want to be predictable.

I'll buy that for a dollar!

My son was cleaning the house today and almost broke a unicorn fiqurine that belongs to my wife. They both exchanged some words and finally resolved the conflct. Meanwhile, I was in the office studying about masters and my son hurt himself on a nail. I ran in to check to see what had happended and he was OK.

Thoughts from the Garden

Another day another dollar...that's what I thought when I received the news that another corporate mogul got a insane high bonus paid out. Money makes the world go round I hear a lot of people say. Well let's not forget to add oil to that as well. It's a scary thing to think about...that the world economy is so addicted to oil. If some of those freaky terrorists would succeed to disrupt the delivery of oil around the globe we all would be done for. I hope in the future it will still be possible to search the Internet for topics about Attorney. If we wouldnÂ’t be able to do that anymore it would be a major bummer!

You're probably not gonna believe this, but...

I say mastery through repetition is the secret.

Am I losing my mind or what? I vote for the what answer. Anyrate I just spent several hours tearing my home office apart looking for my tax return from last year. I combed through storage bins, looked over file after file, and a big fat nada. Talk about frustration level through the roof. I even got the whole family involved in the seek and find. I was about to call it quits and just go online and get the forms from the government website, when I sat down at my desk. And guess what I saw? The file right on my desk, exactly where I now remembered I had set it last night so that I could start right away. And that only made my frustration magnify. Wow, what a waste. This is the last damn time I am going to set something out a day before just to make it easy for myself the next day. Yeah, right. That only works if you have no life and no variety of projects to juggle. After all that I am throwing in the towel for today and just going to get some downtime on the web and just browse the site on bauer I started looking at yesterday.

Debt Counseling Agencies - Debt Consolidation

I was sad to hear about the death of Don Knotts, the comedian and actor. His silly character, Deputy Barney Fife brought many chuckles in our household. He was 81 went he died so he did have a long productive life and hopefully he was aware of the laughter that he had brought to many people. It's strange, but less than a week ago, the grocery clerk brought Don's name up to me as I checked out. We had a few words about how funny Don was in a movie...something about Mr. Chicken? Not sure of the name of the movie....but I hadn't thought about Don Knotts in a long time...so it was a strange coincidence. Well I guess it's time to get back to researching Debt Consolidation on the search engine.

Success the very first time I tried it!

I was chatting with my friends yesterday about bridal books. They didn't realize that most libraries now have their cardfiles on the Internet; they don't even have to drive there to see if their books are available! All they have to do is log onto the library site and search for bridal. I think they're very happy about knowing this tip; it will save them lots of time.

Life is NOT a Box of Chocolates

Howdy, have you ever tried to apply for one of those online merchant accounts? I'm not talking about those merchant providers that let you use their merchant facility. I'm talking about one that you get directly from a bank in your name or your business name. In all honesty, I never knew just how hard it is to get one of the facilities approved. They seem to want to know everything from breast to asking if you would be willing to offer your first borne child as security. PayPal seems to be looking like the best option so far. At least they let you share your name with theirs on your customers credit card statement.
